this happened yesterday... april 18, 2007
today was the scheduled day of our trip to divisoria... my mom and i were going to buy some souvenirs to be given away on my debut...
whenever we go to divisoria.. we only use car until at the UN station of the LRT.. my mom parks our car at the pearl manila... she doesn't know the route to divisoria when using the car.. she only knows the commute way..
being near the school, i dropped the photocopies of my report card at the office of Masci for it to be countersigned... there i bumped into my franklin friends... nga pala, today is the outing day of our section.. i wasn't allowed to come.. it's hard to explain.. basta! they super protective..
i went along and met my mom who parked the car at the pearl.. we rode the lrt to doroteo jose... while we were in recto my mom decided to order a tarpaulin for my party.. hahahahaha... with my picture on it.. a big one.. just the thought of seeing one big poster with my face on it makes me roll on the floor and laugh... we went to our "suki" in recto... this is the store where i got my invitations made... while i listen to my mom and the saleslady discuss the tarpaulin my eyes were caught by something surprising... hahaha... it's my invitation!!! it's posted on the wall!!! it is being displayed!! hahahaha... its exactly my invitation!! with the neon pink envelope and pink ribbon and my picture!! hahaha.. its really my invitation! i cant really believe it.. i never thought of my invitation to be one of the displays in that store. i really cant believe that my invitation is actually displayed... waaahhh my picture!! its exposed!!! ahhhh... sikat.. ahahaha... i showed it to my mother.. she was surprised also.. she asked the lady why it was displayed.. she said my invitation was pretty nice.. its colors are well combined and the picture daw is very beautiful.. its very rare that they get to make invitations with a beautiful picture... hahahaha... is that really true?? kadiri a.. haha.. when they were tying the ribbons of my invitation.. a lot of customers commented on the color and my picture... maganda daw ung pic.. hahah... my pic kasi has flowers on the background.. it was taken in front of a vase of orchids sa century park... i think its because of that.. ung effect niya haha.. not really my face.. bwahahaha.. but atleast... the fact that my invitation was displayed.. it means my invitation looks great.. bwahahahahha...
after all of that we proceeded to divisoria.. with my mom who knows every streets of divisoria, we never left any stone unturned.. we searched all the stores in divisoria to find the souvenirs that suits my mother's taste and mine.. and suits very well our pockets..
after an all day walk in divisoria we finally found the the souvenir we wanted... it wasn't easy.. every souvenir you see in divisoria were all the same.. it all looked the same.. my mom and i didn't want a common souvenir.. we wanted it to be unique.. though the one we chose had other similar ones... the thing that made ours unique was its container... it was very unique... its shape... we took a lot of time in the store where we first found that souvenir... after all the prices and deals were discussed.. the store found out that they have no more stock of container with the exact shape and design... so we have to search the whole street of souvenir shops to look for the store that could possibly have a stock of 50 pieces of that specific container... every store didn't have that design... we found one that has a display of it but didn't have stocks... all didn't have it.... all but one.. we were in luck.. one store has it... and they have only 51 stocks left.. whew!!.. we were so lucky... at least now we have this assurance that there is little chance that this souvenir was used in previous debuts already.. nice... this was a good day!! i had my bonding time with my mother... found a very unique souvenir that satisfied our taste.. and the best part was.. hahaha.. my invitation was a display... kaya pala butal ung binigay sa aming number of invitations... hahahaha...
